TYPES OF HAZARD/ EXPOSURE ACUTE HAZARDS/ SYMPTOMS PREVENTION FIRST AID/
FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE Not combustible. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.

In case of fire in the surroundings: all extinguishing agents allowed.
EXPLOSION

EXPOSURE
PREVENT DISPERSION OF DUST! AVOID ALL CONTACT!

 •INHALATION Convulsions. Laboured breathing. Unconsciousness.
Local exhaust or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
•SKIN MAY BE ABSORBED! (See Inhalation).
Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower. Refer for medical attention.
 •EYES
Face shield, or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
 •INGESTION (See Inhalation).
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Induce vomiting (ONLY IN CONSCIOUS PERSONS!). Refer for medical attention.
SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
Evacuate danger area! Consult an expert! Sweep spilled substance into sealable containers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place. (Extra personal protection: chemical protection suit including self-contained breathing apparatus).
Separated from food and feedstuffs. Well closed.
Unbreakable packaging; put breakable packaging into closed unbreakable container. Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE:
COLOURLESS SOLID IN VARIOUS FORMS.

PHYSICAL DANGERS:

CHEMICAL DANGERS:
The substance decomposes on heating or on burning producing toxic fumes including hydrogen fluoride.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS:
TLV (as TWA): 0.05 mg/m3 (skin) (ACGIH 1995-1996).
OSHA PEL: TWA 0.05 mg/m3 skin
NIOSH REL: TWA 0.05 mg/m3 ST 0.15 mg/m3 skin
NIOSH IDLH: 2.5 mg/m3

ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation, through the skin and by ingestion.

INHALATION RISK:
Evaporation at 20°C is negligible; a harmful concentration of airborne particles can, however, be reached quickly.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance may cause effects on the cardiovascular system and central nervous system , resulting in cardiac disorders and respiratory failure. Exposure may result in death.

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
PHYSICAL
PROPERTIES
