FIRE Not combustible. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.

In case of fire in the surroundings: all extinguishing agents allowed.

 •INHALATION Cough. Sore throat.
Local exhaust or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest.
 •SKIN
Protective gloves.
Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower.
 •EYES Redness. Pain.
Safety goggles, or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
 •INGESTION Abdominal pain. Burning sensation. Shock or collapse.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Give plenty of water to drink. Do NOT induce vomiting. Refer for medical attention.
SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
Sweep spilled substance into covered containers. Personal protection: P2 filter respirator for harmful particles.
Separated from acids, chlorine and food and feedstuffs.
Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

Reacts with acids to produce hydrogen fluoride . Reacts violently with chlorine causing fire hazard.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS:
TLV: (as Sn, oxide and inorganic compounds, except tin hydride) 2 mg/m³ as TWA; (ACGIH 2004). TLV: as F 2.5 mg/m³ as TWA; A4; (ACGIH 2004).
EU OEL: Tin inorganic compounds, as Sn 2 mg/m³ as TWA (EU 2004).


ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its aerosol and by ingestion.

INHALATION RISK:
A harmful concentration of airborne particles can be reached quickly when dispersed, especially if powdered.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
Corrosive on ingestion. The substance is irritating to the eyes .

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
The substance may have effects on the teeth and bones (fluorosis).
