PHYSICAL DANGERS: The vapour is heavier than air and may travel along the ground; distant ignition possible. CHEMICAL DANGERS: The substance decomposes on heating or on burning producing toxic fumes of nitrogen oxides. The substance is a strong base, it reacts violently with acid and is corrosive. Reacts with strong oxidants, acid anhydrides, and acid chlorides. Reacts with mercury to form shock-sensitive compounds causing fire and explosion hazard.
