 •INHALATION Blue lips or finger nails. Blue skin. Headache. Nausea.
Local exhaust or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
 •SKIN
Protective gloves.
Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap.
 •EYES
Safety spectacles, or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
 •INGESTION Blue lips or fingernails. Blue skin. Dizziness. Headache. Laboured breathing. Nausea. Confusion. Convulsions. Unconsciousness.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Rinse mouth. Refer for medical attention.
SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
Sweep spilled substance into containers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place. Personal protection: P2 filter respirator for harmful particles. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment.
Separated from strong oxidants, acids. Well closed.

The substance decomposes on heating or on burning producing toxic and corrosive fumes including hydrogen bromide and nitrogen oxides (see ICSC 0282). The solution in water is a weak base. Reacts with acids strong oxidants .

The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its aerosol and by ingestion.

INHALATION RISK:
No indication can be given about the rate in which a harmful concentration in the air is reached on evaporation of this substance at 20°C.

The substance may cause effects on the blood , resulting in formation of methaemoglobin. The effects may be delayed. Medical observation is indicated.
