FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.

Water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, powder, carbon dioxide.
EXPLOSION Above 320-360°C explosive vapour/air mixtures may be formed.


EXPOSURE
PREVENT DISPERSION OF DUST!

 •INHALATION Cough. Sore throat.
Local exhaust or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
 •SKIN
Protective gloves.
Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower.
 •EYES Redness.
Safety goggles, or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
 •INGESTION Abdominal pain. (See Inhalation).
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Give plenty of water to drink. Refer for medical attention.
SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
Sweep spilled substance into containers. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place. (Extra personal protection: P2 filter respirator for harmful particles).
Dry. Well closed. Keep in a well-ventilated room.
Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

ODOURLESS WHITE, HYGROSCOPIC CRYSTALLINE POWDER.

CHEMICAL DANGERS:
The substance decomposes on heating above 320-350°C producing (highly) toxic fumes including nitrogen oxides and cyanic acid. Reacts with chlorine causing explosion hazard.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS:
TLV not established.


ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation.

INHALATION RISK:
Evaporation at 20°C is negligible; a harmful concentration of airborne particles can, however, be reached quickly when dispersed.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance irritates the respiratory tract and the eyes.

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
The substance may have effects on the kidneys.
