FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE Combustible. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.
NO open flames. NO contact with strong oxidants and sulfuric acid.
Powder, water spray, foam, carbon dioxide.
EXPLOSION Risk of fire and explosion on contact with strong oxidants and sulfuric acid.

Combat fire from a sheltered position.
EXPOSURE


 •INHALATION Blue lips or finger nails. Blue skin. Confusion. Convulsions. Dizziness. Headache. Nausea. Unconsciousness.
Ventilation, local exhaust, or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
 •SKIN MAY BE ABSORBED! Redness. (See Inhalation).
Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap.
 •EYES Redness. Pain.
Face shield or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
 •INGESTION (See Inhalation).
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Rinse mouth. Refer for medical attention.
SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
Evacuate danger area! Consult an expert! Ventilation. Collect leaking liquid in covered containers. Absorb remaining liquid in sand or inert absorbent and remove to safe place. Chemical protection suit including self-contained breathing apparatus.
Separated from strong oxidants, sulfuric acid, food and feedstuffs . Cool. Dry. Keep in a well-ventilated room.
Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

CHEMICAL DANGERS:
The substance decomposes on burning producing toxic gases , including carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides . Reacts with strong oxidants and sulfuric acid, causing fire and explosion hazard. Attacks plastic,rubber and coatings.

The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its vapour, through the skin and by ingestion.

INHALATION RISK:
A harmful contamination of the air will be reached rather slowly on evaporation of this substance at 20°C.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance is mildly irritating to the eyes and the skin . The substance may cause effects on the blood , resulting in the formation of methaemoglobin. Medical observation is indicated. The effects may be delayed.
